Disney Parks Peak Season Tips and Tricks: Gallery

The summer is only halfway over and that means that America’s most popular amusement parks, Disneyland and Disney World, will be quite crowded until the kids go back to school. If you haven’t been to Disney Parks for a few years, then you might not be familiar with FastPass and how it can make the long lines and packed crowds bearable. Here are our best tips for navigating the amusement parks over the summer, during the holidays or any time when the parks are at their busiest.

FastPass is a system that lets you bypass long lines in favor of making a reservation to ride at a predetermined time. Guests who are staying on Disney property are able to get a leg up on the competition, since they can make FastPass+ reservations up to 60 days before they even check in to their accommodations. Disney guests who stay elsewhere still have the chance to reserve a spot up to 30 days prior to their stay.

FastPass+ gives visitors three opportunities each day to select a busy ride for reservation. However, inside the park you can add one additional FastPass+ reservation at a physical kiosk near the rides. Once you’ve used that FastPass (by riding the ride) you can then make another reservation inside the parks.
