Photographer Sues Getty for Copyright Infringement of Free Images Donated to Library of Congress

Travel to all 50 states and Puerto Rico. 50 hardback photography books. Publications for National Geographic and about the World Trade Center. A tour of every county of Ireland. For photographer Carol M. Highsmith, it’s all in a life’s work.

Having spent the majority of her life photographing life in the USA, she decided to make an incredible donation, giving the rights to her work to the Library of Congress. This would enable the public to download and use her images for free, without need of royalties or attribution.
