Russian troops attacked several areas of Ukraine with Iranian Shahed drones late on Sunday, the General Staff of Ukraine said on Monday. According to preliminary data, Ukrainian forces shot down 11 of the 14 deployed drones.
Air raid warnings were sounded over several parts of Ukraine late on Sunday, and later in the evening, air defense systems were activated in Kyiv and the Kyiv metropolitan area and Chernihiv region. Explosions were also reported in Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhia.
Khmelnytskyi governor Sergei Gamalii reported that three attacks had occurred in the region. According to preliminary information, one civilian was killed, and four others were injured.
Zaporizhia representatives reported two attacks on civilian infrastructure in the city, but said there were no casualties.
Authorities in Kiev said nine drones were shot down in the city, and no casualties were reported.
