In short, it certainly does not lack know-how, also due to the fact that many of its employees are ex-Tesla.or at least they come from other car brands. Returning to the stock exchange listing, Lucid Motors debuted with a valuation of 24 billion dollars, which is no small feat, considering the fact that among its financiers there is also the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. In this regard, CEO Peter Rawlinson said: “We now have the resources to grow and focus on the electric vehicle industry. We plan to expand into new markets and experiment with our technology ».

Then CEO Rawlinson spoke of the arrival of Lucid Air on the market: «Covid has influenced all workflows. As a company we have worked to minimize delays, but we know that we will not be able to start deliveries in the spring. I recently drove the latest pre-series vehicles built by our team at the brand new plant in Arizona and I’m thrilled with how the car has been assembled. ” “We are continuing to make the final refinements and will start production as soon as possible in the second half of 2021. We are pushing hard to build a truly perfect Lucid Air.” According to Lucid Motors plans, production should reach 22,000 cars by 2022, and then rise to 250,000 units by 2026.
