WhatsApp is changing the design, soon you will see new messages

WhatsApp will soon look a little different. The first changes can already be seen in the beta of the messenger for a few users. We’ll tell you what users can expect here.

With a future update, WhatsApp will adjust its own design a little. As WABetaInfo reports , it is primarily about the so-called “media footer”. This appears under status messages from other users. WhatsApp users can easily send messages to others and react to the other’s status. In the future, the footer will be more aligned with the general design of WhatsApp.

As can be seen in the first preview, the chat bar is now more clearly highlighted and rounded. In addition, the button for images and other media attachments moves into the bar in order to maintain the clear look. This also makes it clearer to users that there is an option to add media. Last but not least, the send button is made smaller and the name of the recipient is displayed directly below it. So far, the name was always on the left.

When will WhatsApp adapt the design?

So far, the changes are only a preview version of WhatsApp. Even if you download the current beta version of the messenger, you will probably not see the design. This is because WhatsApp is still actively developing the redesign. So it can still take a while until a beta version and the final release.

The messenger service has not yet announced a date for the update. The developers are currently trying to clarify the new guidelines of the messenger. The ultimatum for the WhatsApp terms and conditions is in May 2021. Should users not accept the terms and conditions by then, there are already initial plans to gradually restrict the WhatsApp accounts .
