Korean Spy Thriller ‘Moving’ Tops Disney+ and Hulu Viewership Charts

Disney+ has hit another major success in Asia, following in the footsteps of “Squid Game.”

The star-studded international espionage series “Moving” has rapidly become the most-watched Korean original on Disney+ worldwide and Hulu in the United States, based on streaming hours within the first seven days.

In its debut week since its launch on August 9, “Moving” also claimed the title of the most-watched series on Disney+ throughout the Asia Pacific region, including South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as measured by hours viewed. Additionally, it marked the most significant premiere ever on Disney+ in Korea, considering the hours streamed in the first week. “Moving” was released globally on Disney+ in 65 markets and countries, alongside Hulu in the United States.

Boasting a cast of Korean household names like Ryu Seung-song (“Life is Beautiful”), Han Hyo-Joo (“20th Century Girl”), and Zo In-sung (“Smugglers”), “Moving” is adapted from Kang Full’s popular webtoon. The series revolves around a team of South Korean spies who strive to safeguard their super-powered children from the clutches of nefarious government agencies. Initially recruited for their extraordinary abilities like flight, instant healing, and heightened senses, the spies mysteriously vanished after being assigned increasingly questionable missions. Now, with their children displaying similar powers and a lethal assassin targeting super-powered individuals, the parents must forsake their tranquil lives to reclaim the identities they once concealed.
