“Loki”: New trailer for the sequel to “Avengers: Endgame” on Disney +

After “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, the next MCU adventure awaits us with “Loki”. Marvel Studios has now released a new trailer that reveals more details about the plot.

While we are still waiting for the last episodes of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, Marvel Studios already has the next series ready for us: “Loki”. A first, extensive teaser of the sequel to “Avengers: Endgame” was published back in December. The new trailer now reveals more details about the plot and the star-studded cast.

“Loki”: sequel to “Avengers: Endgame”

Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, ran away with the tesseract. He can initially escape punishment. Until he is picked up by the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) and ends up in a world full of fears. Mobius (Owen Wilson), a senior member of the TVA, tells the captured Loki that he broke reality while using the tesseract.

In order to repair these and bring order back to the time travel chaos, the Time Variance Authority now needs the help of the charismatic con man demigod and (adoptive) brother of Thor. Known for his numerous lies and illusions, Loki assures that he can be trusted this time. We will soon find out whether and how long his promise will last.

The trailer already inspires with a good portion of action and impressive backdrops, fueling anticipation for the streaming start in summer. For example, you can see how Loki travels through time in different worlds – including a destroyed New York, the collapsing Avengers Tower and the throne room of the Asgardines on a purple-colored planet.

“Loki”: Numerous new celebrity faces

In addition to Tom Hiddleston in the title role, we can look forward to numerous new celebrity faces. Including Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Directed by Kate Herron. Michael Waldron is the lead writer on the new MCU adventure.

Start of the series

Loki will be available to stream on Disney + starting June 11, 2021 . The new series will comprise a total of six episodes.
