Kristen Stewart becomes an honorary member of Boygenius, presenting three music videos

When Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus first debuted with Boygenius in 2018, it was funny to think about which musicians would join the band as the fourth member. But maybe music is the wrong place to look. Three of Kristen Stewart’s boy band music videos premiered as The Film in Los Angeles tonight, and perhaps it’s time to make her an honorary member of the supergroup.

The film’s first video, which accompanies the Baker-led single “$20”, shows the band swearing blood to their younger selves. The second video for “Emily I’m Sorry” is a dream monster truck rally in slow motion with Bridgers, and in the final video for “True Blue,” Bridgers and Baker help Dacus with some house renovations and run off together (as friends). Do).

The band first announced in their Rolling Stone cover story that they were working with Stewart. The videos and Boygenius’ long-awaited debut album, The Record, were released Thursday night. Watch the film and listen to the footage below.
