Bad Bunny Kicks off Coachella 2023 as Headliner of the First Night

On the opening night of Coachella 2023, Bad Bunny made history as the first Latin or Spanish-language artist to headline the festival in Indio, California. This marked another milestone in the Puerto Rican superstar’s career, as he took to the stage to deliver an unforgettable performance with fans screaming for more.

Bad Bunny had previously graced the Coachella stage in 2018, where he and J Balvin joined Cardi B to perform their smash hit, “I Like It.” The following year, he had his own set on the festival’s main stage, where he invited J Balvin to join him once again to perform “I Like It” and their posse cut with Prince Royce, Dj Luian, and Mambo Kingz, “Sensualidad.” Later that same year, Balvin and Bad Bunny would release their highly-acclaimed collaborative album, Oasis.

Bad Bunny’s hit single “Un Verano Sin Ti” was a standout moment of 2022, earning him multiple awards, including Latin Grammys for Best Urban/Fusion Performance and Best Urban Song in November. The following February, he opened the main Grammy Awards show with a mesmerizing performance of “El Apagรณn” and “Despues de la Playa,” ultimately taking home the Best Mรบsica Urbana Album.

As the first of three headliners for Coachella 2023, Bad Bunny set the bar high for the rest of the festival. With his infectious energy and chart-topping hits, he proved why he’s one of the biggest names in Latin music and a force to be reckoned with on the global stage.
