Explosive Production Update for Venom 3 – Prepare to Be Amazed

Exciting news for fans of Sony Pictures’ original web-slinger spin-off! The successful franchise that launched Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is now gearing up to become a trilogy.

While Sony is expanding its Spider-Man roster with upcoming films like “Kraven the Hunter” and “Madame Web,” they have not abandoned the captivating symbiote storyline that began with “Venom.”

Since the announcement of “Venom 3” in 2022, updates have primarily revolved around casting announcements and snippets shared by the talented Venom star, Tom Hardy himself.

However, fans can now rejoice as they have received an insight into when cameras are expected to start rolling for what is being dubbed as the franchise’s “last dance.”

This news sets the stage for anticipation and speculation surrounding the future of the beloved symbiote franchise, leaving fans eager to witness the next chapter in this thrilling cinematic universe.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates as production progresses toward this highly anticipated trilogy conclusion.

Filming Imminent for Sony’s Venom 3?

Exciting news for Venom fans! Following reports of a scheduled October 2024 release for Venom 3, it has been revealed that filming for the highly anticipated Tom Hardy threequel will commence in the Los Mateos neighborhood of Cartagena, Spain, starting next week.

According to a report from Murcia Today, production boss Tate Araez explained that Cartagena was chosen as a filming location due to its resemblance to certain streets in Mexico.

Audiences last saw Eddie Brock and Venom in a bar in Mexico during the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in 2021.

Although they were ultimately returned to their own universe, a piece of the Venom symbiote was left behind in Mexico, creating an intriguing connection between the Venom franchise and the MCU Universe.

In addition to Tom Hardy reprising his role as Eddie Brock, Kelly Marcel, who previously wrote and produced the first two Venom films, is confirmed to take on the directorial duties for Venom 3.

With production about to kick off, fans can look forward to the next thrilling chapter in the Venom saga, filled with action, suspense, and the beloved anti-hero himself.

Venom’s Ever-Growing Multiversal Connections

The Venom Universe has been making intriguing connections, even while fans haven’t seen Eddie Brock or Venom since the post-credits scene of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”

The animated film “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” visited Venom’s San Francisco, specifically Mrs. Chen’s store, where The Spot made an appearance to steal candy. With this established connection, the Multiversal storytelling is set to escalate, especially considering Sony’s upcoming Spidey slate.

The release schedule includes “Kraven the Hunter” on October 6, followed by “Madame Web” on February 16, 2024, “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” on March 29, 2024, and now “Venom 3” slated for next October. However, the recent removal of “El Muerto” from Sony’s calendar adds a wildcard to this expanding Spider-Man Universe.

Since “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” in 2021, significant developments have taken place, and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is poised to evolve and expand further ahead of “Venom 3.”

As filming for the threequel begins, fans eagerly anticipate uncovering hints of Sony’s plans for the future. With Venom’s final chapter approaching, it will be fascinating to see how this growing universe shapes the conclusion. Look out for “Venom 3” in theaters in October 2024.
