Pokémon: Open World Game and Two Remakes Announced

Three new Pokémon games are coming to the Nintendo Switch: In addition to two remakes, this includes an open-world game in 3D graphics called “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”.

Nintendo Switch fans can look forward to three new Pokémon games for the Nintendo console. In addition to two remakes of older games, this also includes a completely new title called “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”. The title takes place in an open 3D game world and in the first trailer is reminiscent of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” with graphics downgrade and performance hiccups.

To catch pocket monsters in “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”, you should first watch them in the open game world, recommends Nintendo. Obviously, it is about recognizing movement patterns: in order to catch them with a Poké Ball, you have to hit the Pokémon exactly. To start a fight against the wild Pokémon, you throw an already filled Poké Ball in the rough direction of the stray creatures. Then a typical, turn-based “Pokémon” fight begins.

Twice remake

According to Nintendo, the Pokémon game developed by Game Freak will be released for the Switch console in early 2022. In contrast, two remakes are due to come onto the market this year: The games “Pokémon Diamond” and “Pokémon Pearl” will be relaunched as “Shining Diamond” and “Shining Pearl”.

The remakes are strongly based on the templates, fundamental changes to the graphic style and game mechanics are not to be expected. Nintendo also wants to leave the game world largely unchanged. Instead, the original games are pimped up and a few unspecified comfort features are incorporated.

The biggest attraction, however, is to be able to play the “Pokémon” classics on the Switch. The editions “Sword” and “Shield”, which were newly developed for the Switch, were well received by the community . With “Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu” and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee “,” Pokémon “fans were also able to play remakes of the yellow edition on the Switch.
