Emergency aid in 2021
After January 27, the emergency aid program will be officially closed. Until then, the benefit has not been extended by the Federal Government, although there are numerous projects to extend the benefit until March 2021.
However, so far the benefit has not been extended by the Federal Government. President Jair Bolsonaro again talked about the end of Emergency Aid last Wednesday, December 30. On a beach in the city of Praia Grande, in Sรฃo Paulo, he said that the benefit “has reached the limit”.
“They want us to renew (emergency aid), but our debt capacity has reached the limit,” the president said amid supporters. He cited the breach in the government’s public accounts in that same line.
“I know that many charge, want something better and some forget that we are ending an atypical year. We indebted ourselves of R$ 700 billion to contain the pandemic,” Bolsonaro added. People from the entourage posted the video on social media.
