Tor Browser protected against possible Schacode attacks

If you want to continue surfing the Internet anonymously and securely with the Tor Browser, you should install the current version.

The developers of the anonymizing Tor Browser have closed several security holes. The degree of threat posed by the vulnerabilities is considered to be ” high ” overall .

If attacks are successful, attackers could, among other things, cause the web browser to crash (DoS attack). With a lot of effort, it should even be possible to imagine the execution of malicious code. It is currently not known what attacks might look like. A message from the developers shows that the Tor browser version 10.0.9 is protected against this.

This relies on Firefox ESR 78.7.0 as the substructure. Mozilla has closed five vulnerabilities in it . The current edition of Tor Browser is available for Android, Linux, macOS and Windows. In addition to closing security holes, the developers have also fixed small bugs and raised the NoScript extension for blocking active content to version 11.1.9.
