NC Pastor Arrested for Attempted Assault with McDonald’s Deep Fryer

An incident of workplace conflict reportedly culminated in an assault, leading to the apprehension of a pastor in High Point, North Carolina, as documented in police records.

According to a police report, on a Thursday, a manager-in-training at a McDonald’s expressed concerns to her husband about alleged colleague disrespect. In response, her husband, identified as 57-year-old Dwayne Waden, visited her workplace. The police report details that Waden purportedly forcibly directed a cook’s head toward the deep fryer and delivered a punch to the face during the incident.

The report further indicates that several employees had to intervene to separate Waden from the victim. The injured cook reportedly suffered a substantial contusion on the forehead and right eye, along with scratches on the neck.

Law enforcement officers reviewed surveillance footage capturing the altercation. Waden, who is identified on his Facebook profile as the pastor of Elevated Life International Ministries and a semi-truck driver, was subsequently arrested on an assault charge, as per the police report. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.

The local franchise of McDonald’s confirmed to CBS News that the wife is no longer associated with the organization. The franchise emphasized that employees’ and customers’ safety and security remain their paramount concern.
