On March 14, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the apprehension of a Ukrainian individual suspected of collaborating with Russian military intelligence. The detained individual was believed to be planning an act of sabotage targeting a railway in Kharkiv Oblast.
The saboteur stands accused of attempting to disrupt fuel and ammunition supplies bound for Ukrainian forces in the Lyman direction. His alleged plan involved the use of a homemade improvised explosive device to destroy power lines and rolling stock.

The SBU, via Telegram, revealed that the suspect’s intentions were thwarted before they could be executed, and the identities of his Russian associates were uncovered.
According to the SBU’s statement, the detained individual, identified as a local resident, was found to be affiliated with the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, commonly known as GRU.
Moreover, investigative efforts unveiled evidence suggesting that the suspect had also been tasked with gathering intelligence on the locations of Ukrainian Armed Forces bases in Kharkiv and Pavlograd, within the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
