The state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine as of October 31, 2022 amounted to 3,770.95 billion hryvnias or 103.12 billion dollars.

During October 2022, the amount of Ukraine’s debt increased in hryvnia equivalent by 183.51 billion hryvnias and by 5.02 billion dollars in dollar equivalent.

As the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Financial Policy Danylo Hetmantsev noted, the main reason for the increase in the state debt in October is external borrowing to finance the budget deficit. In particular, in October, Ukraine received 2 billion euros of macro-financial assistance from the EU, 550 million euros from the EIB, 1.3 billion dollars from the IMF, and 0.5 billion dollars from the World Bank.
At the same time, these loans are provided on preferential terms and for long terms.
