7 Killed in Deadly Shooting at Church in Hamburg, German Police Report

According to German police on Thursday, a shooting took place at a Jehovah’s Witness center in Hamburg, resulting in several deaths, including the suspected gunman. Although an official death toll has not been released, multiple local media sources reported seven deaths and eight individuals with serious injuries.

The police spokesperson at the scene stated that the first emergency calls were made after gunshots were heard around 2015 GMT in the Gross Borstel district of the city. The police tweeted that “some” people had suffered serious injuries, including fatalities.

The police have requested that people refrain from speculating on the motive for the crime, as there is currently no reliable information available.
