Arrest Made Following Fatal Incident at Old Trafford Residence: Teenage Boy Detained on Suspicion of Murder

In response to reports of a disturbance, the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has announced the arrest of a teenage boy on suspicion of murder. The incident occurred at a house on Kings Road in Old Trafford at approximately 19:45 BST on Wednesday. The police discovered the lifeless body of a 21-year-old man upon their arrival.

The 15-year-old boy was apprehended and is currently being held in custody for questioning as investigations continue. Detective Superintendent Jane Higham has urged the public to come forward with any information that may aid in piecing together the events leading up to the tragedy. At this early stage of the murder investigation, GMP is focused on establishing a comprehensive timeline of the incident.

Recognizing the impact such incidents can have on communities, not only in Old Trafford but throughout Greater Manchester, Det Supt Jane Higham assured residents that there would be a noticeable increase in the presence of police officers in the area in the coming days. She also encouraged anyone with concerns to approach and engage with law enforcement.

Additionally, GMP disclosed that a second boy, aged 16, has been taken into custody on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and is currently under investigation.
