Arsenal fan Laura Woods hilariously shuts down flirtatious date proposal on Twitter

Arsenal fan and sports presenter Laura Woods reacted fantastically to a fan’s flirtatious attempt on Twitter. Woods, who hosts talkSPORT’s breakfast show and works with DAZN and ITV, is known for her passionate support of the Gunners.

With an impressive Twitter following of nearly 737,000 fans, Woods isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Recently, she firmly put a Tottenham Hotspur fan in their place after they made an offensive comment following Arsenal’s 3-0 Premier League loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 14.

On Tuesday, May 23, Woods took to Twitter to ask her followers an intriguing question about crisps. The tweet quickly gained over a million views, showcasing her engaging presence on social media.

โ€œIs it in truth true that everyone crisps pass off on a Saturday?โ€
The tweet has since won over 430 replies, with many Woods fans offering witty solutions. One fan, even though, noticed it as a chance to invite the reporter out on a date, tweeting:
โ€œItโ€™s true Laura, (I) labored for Walkers again in (the) day. If you wish to pass into an extra element drop me a DM, and we will be able to opt for a meal and chat about it.โ€

In a delightful twist, the Arsenal supporter humorously shut down the flirtatious fan with a witty reply. She responded, “I prefer discussing matters in a more public setting.” Her clever comeback garnered over 1950 likes, surpassing the original commenter’s engagement, along with 44 additional comments.

In another instance, Arsenal fan and TV presenter Laura Woods engaged in a lighthearted exchange with Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek back in March. The two had a conversation on talkSPORT where the incident took place.

Prior to Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa on April 1, Loftus-Cheek played a game called “Chelsea SOS” with Laura Woods. Among other questions, the presenter challenged the midfielder to reveal his celebrity crush, to which he responded:

Upon hearing Loftus-Cheek’s honest answer, Laura Woods burst into laughter and responded, “What a fantastic answer! It’s been an absolute pleasure, and I’ll get your (Loftus-Cheek’s) number later!” This playful exchange led fans on social media to speculate about a potential romance between the two, with one fan tweeting, “Ruben (Loftus-Cheek) scoring a serious game.

That’s a true Chelsea boy right there.” Meanwhile, Woods experienced disappointment as her hopes of seeing Arsenal win the Premier League title were shattered when the Gunners suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend. This result led to Manchester City securing the title for the third consecutive season.
