Apple launches new iPad Pro that’s more powerful, faster and more expensive than ever

Apple held a keynote on Tuesday April 20 to present new features. Among them are new iPad Pro, not necessarily very affordable but very promising.

The content of the April 20 Apple keynote was open secrecy: everyone knew it would be iPad Pro. But with Apple more than with any other brand, you always have to wait and see to believe what you see. Not that this is really incredible but rather to be sure of what can be said about the said novelties.

This Tuesday, April 20, it was the iPad Prothe most anticipated. The new iPad Pro, of course. This is the fourth generation of iPad Pro after 2015, 2017 and 2018. These tablets, available in two formats 11 and 12.9 inches, are the must of Apple, the most successful, the most neat, the more expensive. This will still be the case with the new models. For several days, rumors had been rife and affirmed that there would be on the program: a new Apple A14X chip, a Thunderbolt compatible USB-C connector, improvements and size changes for the photo sensors located on the back of the tablet. , 5G compatibility, a new Apple Pencil 3 stylus, the switch from an LCD screen to mini-LED for the 12.9-inch large format screen, a thicker slice, still for the large format which would go from 5, 9mm to 6.4mm thick.

Regarding the size of the large format iPad Pro , no change in the end. The tablet with 12.9-inch screen still has the following dimensions: 280.65 mm in length, 215 mm in width and indeed 5.9 mm in thickness. The big change is inside with the integration of the house M1 chip present on MacBooks. And not the A14X chip therefore. Suddenly, the processor displays performance 75 times higher, just that. We know people who go to their heart’s content to play video games, especially as the PS5 and Xbox Series controllers are compatible.

Another great novelty, the screen. It is now Liquid Retina XDR for a colorful display and strong brightness. There are now 10,000 mini LEDs that take care of the lighting of the screen. Note also a new camera on the front of the iPad Pro: ultra wide angle, it will allow everyone to be on the family photo or Zoom. Nothing changes however for the sizes of the sensors at the rear. Finally, the new iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inches (unchanged formats) will be 5G compatible and will have Thunderbolt connectivity.
