The developers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have shared the details of patch 9.1 for the console versions of Battle Royale . It will be released on test servers on October 20.
Apart from all the innovations of the ninth season, which are already available on the test servers of the PC version, one of the main changes in the patch will be an increased frame rate in FPS-priority mode for the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.
After the release of the update, the maximum frame rate will be increased to 60, however, in order to increase the FPS, the developers will set the resolution to 1920×1080. At the same time, the authors note that they are looking for opportunities to add higher frame rates to other consoles.
Additionally, Patch 9.1 will add the ability to customize custom matches and change controller button assignments to the console versions of PUBG. A complete list of innovations can be found here.
PUBG Season 9 kicks off on October 21st on PC and October 29th on consoles.
