Russian Missile Strikes Claim Lives of at Least 6 Across Ukraine

A series of missile strikes originating from Russia targeted various locations across Ukraine on Wednesday, including the capital Kyiv, resulting in the deaths of six individuals and causing injuries to at least 16 others.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky conveyed the gravity of the situation on Telegram, stating, “Our country is facing yet another extensive assault. Six regions have been subjected to enemy attacks, and all our services are actively engaged in addressing the aftermath of this act of terror.” Zelensky added that three casualties occurred in Kyiv, expressing concern that additional individuals might still be trapped beneath the debris.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that a pregnant woman was among those wounded when a missile struck a multi-story residential building. Additionally, a heating main on the city’s left bank sustained damage.

The Russian military extended its bombardment to several other regions in Ukraine, including Mykolayiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk, as confirmed by regional authorities. The Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolayiv regions each recorded one fatality resulting from the attacks.
