Zelenskyy Invites British Defense Company to Manufacture Weapons in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has engaged in discussions with representatives of BAE Systems, a prominent British defense company.

Zelenskyy expressed the importance of collaborating with BAE Systems to acquire the necessary weaponry for Ukraine’s present and future security needs, aiming to safeguard the country and the wider region.

The President highlighted the intention to establish suitable production and repair facilities within Ukraine to support a diverse range of weapons, including tanks and artillery.

This endeavor is part of Zelenskyy’s broader vision to strengthen Ukraine and provide Europe with a solid foundation of defense capabilities.

During the meeting, Zelenskyy and BAE Systems representatives also explored the possibility of localizing production in Ukraine.

They reached an agreement to commence efforts toward opening a BAE Systems office in Ukraine, followed by the establishment of repair and production facilities.

Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to serve as a key regional hub for the repair and production of various BAE Systems products, expressing a desire for more comprehensive and extensive collaboration.
