China Furious Over NATO’s ‘Threat’ Label – Embassy Reacts

China’s Embassy in Norway vehemently expresses its opposition to NATO’s persistent labeling of China as a threat.

In response to recent remarks made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during his visit to Norway, the embassy issued a statement on Saturday, stating that China “strongly opposes” such characterization.

The embassy’s statement further urges NATO to cease its actions of fueling regional conflicts and fostering division and unrest.

According to the embassy release, Stoltenberg had accused China of posing threats to neighboring nations and exerting suppression on countries that do not align with its interests.

“NATO claims to be a regional and defensive organization, but certain members of NATO constantly extend beyond traditional defense regions, frequently establishing close military contacts with countries in the Asia-Pacific, which results in escalating tensions,” it said.

“It is clear to the international community who the real threat to regional and global peace is.”
