How Do You Invite Non Friends to a Facebook Account?

How do you invite people to join your Facebook Group?

Well, if you haven’t done so yet. In my earlier blog on Facebook Advertising Methods, I talked about creating a Page, then inviting someone to become your friend. However, that’s not the only thing you need to know. In this article, I’m going to tell you more on inviting people to join your Facebook Group.

The first thing you need to do is to decide who you’re going to invite.

Now, that might sound simple enough, but it can get tedious when you’re trying to invite the right people. So how do you determine who you’re going to invite? There are two ways of doing it – by using the public API and manually calling Facebook’s ‘Connect’ function. I’m pretty sure that you’re going to be able to do it by using the API, but you might want to read up on the Connect documentation first to make sure.

Once you’ve determined who you’re going to invite, you’re going to need to setup an invitation email.

This is used for two reasons – to help you remind everyone whom the group you’re building is for, and so that they can inform their friends when they’re joining. So what you’re going to want to do is, once you have the group activated and running, go to your ‘Create an Invite Email’ section. Then go to the API section, scroll down to ‘oauth2’ and set up the Facebook application so that your user id is passed as necessary.

Once that’s done, you can start working on setting up your invites. You can do that by clicking on ‘Invite Email’, then scrolling down to ‘OAuth2 Settings’, clicking ‘pass code’, clicking ‘enter’ and then copying the resulting code. Save it to your clipboard.

Now, the next thing you’ll want to do is put in your user id. Remember that the invitees will have to click ‘ok’ to agree to the invitation, so you’ll need to provide them with user ids that they can use to sign up with Facebook. In most cases you’re also going to want to include their names in the list of invitees. In fact, you might even want to include the date of birth if anyone of those invitees is younger than you.

After doing that, all they have to do is click on the button ‘Submit Information’ and fill out the required information requested. On the website, you’ll be asked for the name and birthday of the group organizer. You’ll also be asked for a brief description of the group you’re starting (the title of the page), the URL and a short description text. This is where you are going to tell the person that they have joined your group and invite them to join. Make sure it’s short and sweet, and avoid using jargon.

The last step is to click on the link for ‘Invite Invites’ and the invite button will light up. If everything was done correctly, the person who was invited should click on the link to confirm their acceptance. That’s all there is to it. It’s a very simple process and the whole point is to get new friends fast.

There are other methods on how to get Facebook account users to join your group or ‘pages’. You could advertise your groups on your public profile or create custom profiles for each individual user (profile management). However, none of these are as quick, easy, and effective as a built-in group, which has many advantages. So if you’re looking to get more Facebook friends, you need to start off by inviting them to a page.
