End clap for the iPhone 12 mini ? Announced with great fanfare at the Apple conference in October 2020 alongside the iPhone 12 and the range of iPhones 12 Pro , the latest could soon disappear from circulation. Apple has decided to reduce production of this model to 11 million units and plans to stop production completely in the second quarter of 2021. According to analyst William Yang of investment bank JP Morgan quoted by Appleinsider , customers would instead turn to the iPhone 11, certainly from the previous generation but considered better value for money. Despite the excellent technical performance of the iPhone 12 mini, its price of 809 euros remains high and consumers would prefer to get an iPhone 11 which combines a screen size of 6.1 “and an entry price of 689 euros The iPhone 12 mini has a smaller screen of 5.4 “and a higher entry price of 809 euros.

The iPhone 12 would also see its production reduced and fall to 9 million units. However, Apple would increase iPhone 11 production by 8 million units to meet consumer demand. As for the Pro and Pro Max range, it is a full box: Apple would increase the production of iPhone 12 Pro by 2 million and that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max by 11 million units.

Like every year, Apple should announce its new range of iPhone at the end of the year. An event would however be planned for the month of March or the Cupertino company would announce among other things a new audio headset. In 2021, Apple could present ten new products.
