British actor Ben Cross, who starred in the 2009 film Star Trek, has passed away at the age of 72. This was reported by his daughter Lauren.
“It pains me very much to tell you that my dear father died a few hours ago,” she wrote on his Facebook page.

According to her, Cross has been ill recently and his condition worsened last week.
Ben Cross is best known for his role as the ambassador of the planet Vulcan to Earth and the father of one of the main characters in Star Trek, Spock.
In addition, he starred in the British sports drama Chariots of Fire, which won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1982, as well as Ben Hur and others.
