Do you like to have a hard time watching movies? Then put Oxygen on your Netflix list because it’s going to take your breath away.
If you had an extremely bad time watching Buried , the movie with Ryan Reynolds, and loved the experience, Oxygen should be next on your list of Netflix movies to target.
Alexandre Aja , the director who brought us the best horror film of 2019 according to Tarantino with Underwater Hell , arrives on the platform with another film where the levels of anguish are going to be incredibly high . Probably after seeing Oxygen you need to go out to the patio or balcony to get some air.
And it is that the story starring Mélanie Laurent is about a woman who wakes up inside a capsule , what seems to be a cryogenic chamber, without memories of who she is, how she ended up there and why she is locked in such a small space and with the percentage of oxygen going down non-stop.
Throughout the film, Laurent must try to recover some of his memory to discern why he is there and find a way to escape before the oxygen is completely depleted.
The script is the work of Christie LeBlanc , and although with just 1 minute of the trailer we can intuit that it will become a Netflix hit , the reality is that the screenwriter spent years looking for a site for this creation, until she finally came to Netflix and gave it the green light immediately.

The most interesting thing about Oxygen is that, despite being a story created more than 5 years ago , the current situation, or rather, the one experienced just a year ago around the world, made it become more representative.
And when can we see Oxygen on Netflix? We have to wait until May 12 for it to be released on the platform. Until then we have the trailer that is more than enough for you to decide if you will be able to endure the experience together with the protagonist, or if perhaps you are not convinced that it is your thing.
